Happy fall y'all pallet

I did it. I made another fall pallet. I couldn’t help myself. I know I already made this one and this one,  but I was itching to make a CANDY CORN inspired fall pallet for my pallet painting party! I want to tell you how I did it!

**Note this post does contain some affiliate links and I may receive a small commission for any order you do for the products.  You will not pay any extra! =)

First, I painted the pallet in a black. I had some black wall paint at home and I covered it 100%. It uses a lot of paint, so I didn’t use my good stuff! 😉 I know it looks navy almost in the photo but I assure you, it’s black.

Then, I made a candy corn banner which seriously, is that not the cutest?????  You could totally hang that on your fireplace also because until Thanksgiving is past…. anything CANDY CORN WORKS!

I made this short video that I put on Facebook showing how to make the banner. I look like a hot mess.  My son’s video skills are sketchy at best. I’m wearing WALMART slippers y’all. And of course, that little video had over 27K views.  Ug. Lol. #keepingitreal

Next, I ordered a custom stencil from The Mad Stencilist. You can order it by going HERE.  If you are someone who tries to buy the alphabet and lay out the words letter by letter… we can’t be friends because that sounds like some sort of torture exercise to me. Stencils make the world go round.  Just order one. You’ll thank me for it later. I always use 3M’s 77 adhesive spray on my stencils.  This helps to eliminate bleeding.  You can get that at Jo-Ann’s.

candycorn paint colors

To stencil both the candy corn banner and the letters…. I used Heirloom Traditions Sundance , Shirley’s Pumpkin (which was also the famous paint color on the “Always Give Thanks” pallet that took over Hometalk) and French Vanilla.  While you’re shopping, pick up one of these amazing chalk paint brushes! They are my favorite to work with.  It takes virtually no paint at all, so dry brush those puppies on.

Then the fall pallet was done and I showed it off at my first ever LIVE painting event in Kansas City. We had so much fun!  These women did such an awesome job on their pallets! I was honored to paint with them! And yes, we are considering a CHRISTMAS pallet class. Email me if you’d be interested and we’ll see what we can squeeze in!

Happy fall y'all pallet

If my calculations are correct, this fall pallet will be on my front steps approximately 17.3 more days until Christmas takes over everything at my house. Check out more of my holiday painted pallet ideas here.

Until then, happy fall y’all.

xoxo,

Jennifer

Don’t stop painting for fall! I have painted Harvest barnwood sign that went viral on Pinterest. You can also paint pumpkins like candy corn or make another fall pallet using ombre painting techniques . I also love this simple, understated one I painted with an “Always Give Thanks” stencil.

And don’t stop the painting there! It may be time to update your home with fresh paint – I give you free paint advice in this video of my top wall colors. Check it out!
